Summer Heat, Campsite Gardening & Tabletop Adventures!

Hey everyone! It’s been a wild, busy month down here at Taw Caw, but Gambit and I are keeping the momentum going—working hard, beating the heat, and finding time to relax along the way. Here is a look at what we've been up to lately:

 Small Campsite Garden 🌱

We’ve officially added a bit of green to our setup! I started a small campsite garden and am slowly learning the ropes of Southern growing. There's nothing quite like getting your hands in the dirt and watching things grow right outside the camper door.

Camp Store Glow-Up in the SC Summer Blaze 🛠️🔥

We’ve also been putting in major work on the facilities! The Camp Store got a full glow-up to get it looking fresh. Tackling renovations in the South Carolina summer heat is no joke, but seeing the final result makes all the sweat worth it.

Headbanging Lawn Warrior Mode at Taw Caw 🎸🌿

Speaking of the SC heat... with temperatures pushing well past 100°+, staying cool isn't really an option! I’ve been getting out there in full "Headbanging Lawn Warrior" mode—shredding the grass on the zero-turn mower, cranking the music to full volume, and tackling the property head-on.

Gambit’s Stick Fetching Duties 🐕🪵

Gambit’s been keeping himself entertained out on the property while work gets done. He managed to track down a massive stick to drag around—because no job at the campground is complete without proper quality control from the chief pup.

Unwinding with D&D Night 🎲⚔️

After putting in long hours around the campsite, it was awesome to finally sit down for a D&D night. I’ve missed playing so much, and getting back around the table for some tabletop adventures was the perfect way to recharge.

Taco Tuesday Fuel 🌮

And of course, after hours of mowing, store upgrades, and tackling summer heat, you’ve got to fuel up right. We treated ourselves to a much-needed Taco Tuesday run over at Armando’s Santee for some great food and well-earned downtime.
