🚜 Snow Day Bliss: John Deere, Dog Play, and BBQ Tacos in the Camper

The moment we moved to Pennsylvania, we knew the snow would be different. This past weekend, we got our first sizable dump 6"—the kind that truly transforms the landscape and demands a full day of action and relaxation.

It was a balmy 22°F outside, crisp and breezy, way to cold a temperature for work and play.

🐶 Morning Frolic with Gambit

First things first: fun! Gambit, is an absolute legend in the snow. We spent a good chunk of the morning just tearing around, him plunging his nose into drifts and kicking up huge rooster tails of powder. Nothing clears the head and warms the heart faster than watching a dog discover a fresh blanket of white.

ā„ļø From Play to Plow

After a necessary hot tea break, it was time to get serious. I fired up the John DeereĀ and got to work carving out the roadways and parking spaces. There is something intensely satisfying about seeing that snow roll cleanly off the plow. It turns a chore into a tangible accomplishment—the perfect preparation for settling in.

🌮 The Ultimate Cold-Weather Reward

With the roads clear and the body warmed from activity, the real reward began. We retreated into the camper, which was perfectly toasty and inviting.

Dinner was simple, warm, and absolutely delicious: BBQ Chicken Tacos. The sweet and smoky chicken, wrapped in warm tortillas, felt like the ideal comfort food. We kicked back, put on some TV, and just soaked in the quiet, cozy warmth of the camper, watching the snow continue to fall outside.

This is what PA winters are all about—hard work, big fun, and the perfect cozy retreat. Cheers to the first snow!
